This is why I spent an hour researching 1500s French Royal Guard uniforms for an autobiographical comic book, when I was born in 1980. The beauty of this strip (not this particular one, but the whole series) is that while we always tell real stories, stuff that actually happened to me, we can sometimes do it imaginatively, and use some visual metaphors. Also, I can get Taibox to hate me for making him draw a French castle, Caterina de' Medici (that was her birth name, we use her French-ified name in the strip) in her frilly dress, and a Swiss member of the French Royal Guard with all the accoutrements. Still, he got back at me by making the strip a different format than the usual, which makes a control freak like me go crazy.

This week's song has nothing to do with either the year 1561 nor the year 1983; but a lot to do with French royalty. Well, a little bit. Inspired by his film "History Of The World, Part I" (but not a part of the movie itself), and by his dual role as the King and le Garçon De Pisse, Mel Brook raps "It's Good To Be The King":
