Okay, so I probably didn't say "Bask in its magnificence!"... I most definitely didn't. But this happened, and it was a big thing, man. A VCR, I could record stuff from TV to watch later, or stuff I wasn't there to watch... and watch whatever movie I'd like, getting them from that magical place called the video store!!! Yeah, VCRs were a big thing back then. If you grew up after their time, I can tell you it's kinda like the awesomeness of today of watching stuff on demand. But more primitive. But even more amazing, because when we got video on demand for the first time, VCRs had already existed. Before this? Nothing, just what the TV stations decided to air (we didn't even have cable here until 1996 or so).
